Update: Woman with dementia missing in Jacksonville located, police say

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said Thursday morning Areatha May Porter has been located after she was reported missing Wednesday afternoon.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: Jacksonville police said Thursday morning Areatha May Porter has been located; she was reported missing Wednesday afternoon.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for a 76-year-old woman with dementia who failed to report home Thursday.

Areatha May Porter was last seen at approximately 9:10 a.m. in the 1200 block of Kings Road. Her family reported her missing around 2:30 p.m.

She is a Black female, 5'4 and 120 pounds. She is wearing a black wig and has brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, tan skirt and black shoes and was carrying a black and blue umbrella.
