JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A woman was shot through an open apartment door near the Woodland Acres neighborhood Monday evening, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. in the 800 block of Bert Road.
The victim was identified only as a woman in her 40s.
She was taken to the hospital and treated for a gunshot wound to her upper torso.
She has been released from the hospital, police say.
The suspect fled the area on foot and has not been found.
