JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A woman is recovering after she was shot on Jacksonville's Westside following a "conflict" between two groups Saturday morning.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, officers responded to the 3200 block of Sunnybrook Avenue North around 4:30 a.m. Saturday in reference to a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the hand.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department took the victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say the shooting happened between a road and the front yard of a residence, adding it started as a conflict between two known groups of individuals.
A stolen vehicle was also recovered at the scene that investigators believe was used by the suspect or suspects before the shooting.
Detectives were on the scene canvassing for physical evidence and conducting interviews with witnesses.
Right now, police have not announced a suspect in the case.
