PALM COAST, Fla. – A 22-year-old woman is accused of burglarizing her parents' home while they were on vacation.
Megan Boyle allegedly moved out of her parents' home on Pickering Drive April 4, but then returned while they were out of town for 10 days starting April 12, according to a release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.
When Boyle's parents returned from vacation, they allegedly found a window had been pried open and noticed several items were missing from their home. Items missing included a Kel-Tec 9mm handgun, Winchester 12 gauge shotgun, miscellaneous jewelry, two flat screen televisions, a Nintendo Wii and power tools, according to the FCSO. The total value of the items stolen was $6,700.
A neighbor also reported seeing Boyle leaving her parents' home while they were out of town.
An investigation found Boyle allegedly pawned several of the items at Leah's Pawn Shop and Palm Coast Pawn and Jewelry. A Florida Pawnbroker Transaction form along with Boyle's thumbprint on the form also allegedly linked her to the crime.
Boyle was arrested on April 23 and charged with armed burglary, grand theft from a dwelling, two counts of dealing in stolen property and two counts of false verification of ownership. Boyle was booked into the Flagler County Detention Facility on a $19,500 bond.
