A man was shot during a fight in downtown Jacksonville on Thanksgiving.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two men were hospitalized after being shot in separate incidents Thursday in Jacksonville.

The first incident occurred in the 100 block of East Union Street at about 12:30 p.m. Police were called to the area for a report of a person shot. Investigators learned that two men who knew each other got into an argument. One of the men pulled out a gun and shot the other male in the back. The gunman fled the area heading west on East Union Street.

The second shooting occurred at 5:45 p.m. when officers responded to InTown Suites in the 11000 block of Beach Boulevard in reference to an adult male who was shot. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators learned the shooting stemmed from a dispute over the purchase of a vehicle. During the dispute, one of the men pulled out a gun and fired a single shot striking the other male. The bullet entered the victim's arm and penetrated his side. The gunman left the scene in a newer model silver Dodge Durango. The person who was shot was the person trying to purchase the vehicle. Police said the men knew each other.

Both victims in each case suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests were made in either shooting.
