Two arrested in Southeast Georgia meth bust

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — Over ten pounds of methamphetamine ice was seized in Glynn County Tuesday during the arrest of two Southeast Georgia men, authorities said.

Jesse Edward Case, 49, of Brunswick and William Harrell, 34, of Jesup were arrested when a drug enforcement team found them in the parking lot of a Brunswick store about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to authorities.

Authorities believe the estimated value of the methamphetamine is $450,000.

Case attempted to escape when he was approached by officers and was later found in possession of a pistol during the arrest, authorities said.

Case has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, using of a communications device during the commission of a crime and possession of drug related objects.

Harrell has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine.

Both men are being held in the Glynn County Detention Center.

Glynn/Brunswick Narcotics, Ware and McIntosh County Sheriff's Offices and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were all involved in the investigation.
