ORANGE PARK, Fla — Three teens wearing "black ski mask face coverings" were arrested and are accused of shoplifting at the Orange Park Mall, according to a Clay County Sheriff's Office Facebook post.
The three unidentified teen's ages are 16 and the other two are 17-year-olds, the post states. The sheriff's office says the teens are accused of shoplifting at Belk and that during a pat-down, the 16-year-old was found with a concealed gun in his waistband.
After removing the gun, police say the 16-year-old "attempted to make a quick getaway through the mall but was quickly apprehended."
The 16-year-old faces charges of possession of a concealed firearm by a minor, resisting arrest without violence, possession of marijuana, retail theft and wearing a mask, hood, or other device on public property, the post states. The two 17-year-olds face charges of retail theft and wearing a mask, hood, or other device on public property.
The post further states that nobody was injured in the incident including Clay County Sheriff's deputies, mall shoppers or the three teens.
