Switzerland Point Middle School has been evacuated after a threatening message was found inside the school, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office reports.
According to Chuck Mulligan, students and staff have been evacuated and all are safe.
The sheriff's office is currently conducting a sweep of the school and said it could take hours.
Statement from the school:
We are currently working with law enforcement to investigate a bomb threat written in a bathroom on campus. All students have been evacuated. Rest assured that your students are being cared for and are safe. No one is allowed on or off campus at this time. We will provide an update after law enforcement has completed their search of the building.
