GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Gainesville Police Department is searching for a suspect wanted on an attempted murder charge, authorities announced Monday.
Andra Latrell Thomas, 29, is accused of following his ex-girlfriend home from her night shift job about 7 a.m. Monday and opening fire into her car, wounding the victim at least twice, the agency said in a news release.

Thomas is wanted on charges of attempted murder, violation of an injunction and domestic violence, police said.
