CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — Zanchez Prince, the man fatally shot by police Friday was accused in a homicide in Broward County on May 12, police said. His brother, Brandon Prince, was also accused in the murder.
A report released Monday shows that Brandon Prince was arrested Sunday, two days after his brother was killed.
Police were attempting to arrest Zanchez Prince after they located him in Clay County. Jacksonville Sheriff's Office SWAT deputies were assisting on the arrest. Police say Prince pulled a firearm and a JSO officer shot and killed him.
Brandon Prince was found in Fort Lauderdale, about half an hour from where the murder happened in Pompano Beach. He is accused of first-degree murder, meaning police believe the murder was premeditated.
The Broward County Sheriff's Office arrested him during a traffic stop.
The brothers are accused in the murder of a man named Andrew Ford, who was killed by gunshot. The investigation in the case is ongoing.
