JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrested the fourth suspect in connection to Jacksonville rapper Foolio's murder Tuesday morning.
Rashad Murphy, 30, was arrested at the Collins Preserve apartments in the Ortega area of Jacksonville for "no valid driver's license," the sheriff's office said in a news release.
JSO said it tracked Murphy along with help from U.S. Marshals. SWAT units surrounded the apartment he was in and helped evacuate nearby residents.
JSO said Murphy surrendered just after midnight.
Detectives are continuing their search for Davion Murphy, the fifth and final suspect in the Foolio murder investigation. The agency is working closely with the Tampa Police Department and other partners in the investigation, JSO said.
On Monday, Tampa Police Department Chief Lee Barcaw, Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters and State Attorney Suzy Lopez announced the arrests of three people for the killing of the 26-year-old: Alicia Andews, 21, Isaiah Chance Jr., 21, and Sean Gathright, 18.
Foolio, whose real name is Charles Jones, was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn hotel in Tampa June 23.
Rashad Murphy will be extradited to Tampa where he faces one count of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder.
