JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Editor's Note: This story was updated to include a statement from Mayo Clinic.
A St. Johns man is accused of attempting to meet a 8-year-old girl, according to the Jacksonville's Sheriff's Office.
The arrest report said Chad Sadlowski, 33, was charged with traveling to meet after using computer to solicit parent/guardian consent, solicitation via computer of a child's guardian to allow a sexual act, unlawful use of a two-way communication device, and producing/promoting performance which includes sexual performance of a child younger than 18.
Sadlowski's occupation is listed as a respiratory therapist at Mayo Clinic on the report.
The redacted report said Sadlowski was talking to the uncle of an 8-year-old girl via the website Whisper. Police said Sadlowski referred to masturbation and oral sex in the chats with what he believed was an 8-year-old child.
He then traveled to a pre-arranged location to meet the child and was arrested by authorities 5:45 p.m. Sunday at a gas station. The report said he passed the location more than once before stopping.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office assisted in the arrest, the report said.
Sadlowski, who remains in custody at Duval County Jail, is being denied internet usage and his next court date is May 21, though it's subject to change.
