JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An early morning raid on Friday nabbed a wanted suspect in a 1999 murder of a police officer in New York City, a law enforcement source tells First Coast News.
New information gathered by law enforcement indicated that the man went by the name of Michael Davis and was known to the rap video community as Monsta Kodi and lived off of Broad Creek Lane in NW Jacksonville.
A source tells FCN his real name is Lester Pearson, and he is 43 years old. He was wanted in several states including New York for murder and Louisiana for battery on a law enforcement officer and possession of marijuana.
It is unknown on how long Pearson lived in Jacksonville before his arrest.
None of the officers who participated in the raid were injured.
Pearson is currently in the Duval County Jail and is being held with bond.
