ST JOHNS, Fla. — A truck driver was robbed when a suspect entered the cab of his truck while he was inside, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.
On Thursday around 10:15 p.m., the truck driver had pulled onto the side of the road near a vacant lot at CR-204 and US-1 South to rest.
The suspect entered the truck cabin with a gun and a crowbar. They hit the victim in the head with a firearm and took cash and the victim's phone.
The suspect was wearing a completely covered, wearing a jacket with a hoodie, a full-face mask, dark glasses and gloves.
They dropped the phone outside the truck and the victim was able to call the police.
