Rapper Yungeen Ace has charges from April Jacksonville Beach arrest dropped

Yungeen Ace, whose real name is Keyanta Bullard, was arrested in April along with Malquis Warthen, a well-known YouTuber who operates a page called "ATKQuiseTV."

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Rapper Yungeen Ace had charges stemming from his April Jacksonville Beach arrest dropped on Wednesday, a court document obtained by First Coast News Monday shows.

Assistant State Attorney James Atkinson said in the court document that the state is no longer pursuing charges against the rapper "after reviewing the evidence."

On April 15, 2024, the 26-year-old whose real name is Keyanta Bullard, was arrested during a traffic stop along with one other. The other person arrested was Malquis Warthen, 24, a well-known YouTuber who operates a page called "ATKQuiseTV."

Bullard was arrested on a possession of a firearm, weapon or ammunition by a convicted felon charge, while Warthen was arrested on a driving with a suspended, canceled or revoked license charge, Bullard's arrest report states.

In the incident, Warthen, Bullard and four others inside a black 2023 Chevrolet Suburban Warthen was driving, were pulled over around 8:30 p.m. after police said the vehicle failed to stop at a four-way stop sign intersection on 9th Street South and Shetter Avenue, the report states.

After everyone inside of the vehicle exited, as ordered by the officer who made the traffic stop, the report says a black rifle was located "in plain view."

"A blue bag on the second row floorboard was also seen with a Draco and black handgun plainly visible from the outside of the vehicle," the report states. "These firearms were clearly visible and within immediate reach on the floorboard between Lamonte (a passenger) and the middle passenger, Keyanta T. Bullard."

Police say seven guns were found inside of the vehicle, as all of them were "loaded and chambered."

The four passengers, besides Bullard and Warthen, were cleared and released.

"In this case, the State lacks a reasonable probability of conviction," the court document reads. "While Bullard was near the firearms, proximity alone is insufficient to establish intentional control. It is reasonable to believe that the occupants of the vehicle will claim ownership and possession of the firearms as Warthen has already done. Bullard made no statements inculpating himself and there is no forensic evidence to prove control."

As for Warthen's case, the State Attorney's Office dropped charges against him, too, on May 29, court records show.
