PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — The Putnam County Sheriff's Office arrested Dalton Babcock, 27, on video voyeurism charges on Feb. 16.

After making the arrest, detectives began a search through Babcock's phone and discovered child sexual abuse images as well as videos of women known to Babcock. Police believe Babcock downloaded the images of the children.

Detectives got a warrant for his arrest after discovering the images. He was arrested a second time while in jail on Feb. 23.

The initial complaint on Feb. 16 stemmed from a minor possibly being filmed by Babcock while showering.

Additionally, two photos of women known to Babcock were found taken from a bathroom without the knowledge of the persons being filmed, the Sheriff's Office said.

In both instances the victims were naked. One of the victims is a minor.

"The depravity of this individual is still being reconciled by my detectives," Sheriff H.D. 'Gator DeLoach said. "If we hadn't gotten him away from the community, I am disheartened to think what his next step was because he was getting very comfortable with breaking the law."

Babcock faces charges of one count of video voyeurism involving a child less than 16, two counts of video voyeurism, 11 counts of possessing obscene material involving child pornography and one count of using a 2-way communication device to facilitate a felony.

He is being held on $800,000 bond.
