Putnam County high school student poses with guns, arrested for threatening to shoot up school

Deputies said that Baylee Crowe posted a photo of himself holding a firearm to Snapchat with the caption "No school tomorrow?"

An 18-year-old Putnam County high school student was arrested Thursday morning after making a threat to shoot up Interlachen High School in Putnam County.

Deputies said that Baylee Crowe posted a photo of himself holding a firearm to Snapchat with the caption "No school tomorrow?"

Crowe posed with two different guns, a rifle and modified shotgun, according to deputies. Deputies said the pictures were taken with real guns at the Camp Blanding Museum.

At this time the guns have not been recovered.

Crowe was questioned about the incident and asked if a sibling had any involvement in the post to which he told deputies that he would "kill all of you."

He was charged with a second-degree felony for written threats to kill, do bodily injury or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism.

“I don’t think that in today's world we have any option but to take these threats very seriously," said Colonel Joe Wells, Deputy Chief at the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

Crowe is currently being held at the Putnam County jail without bond.

This is the second encounter deputies have had with Crowe at the school since January. On January 30, he got a misdemeanor charge for possession of liquor by person under 21, according to deputies.

Deputies said they charged Crowe four times over the last two years for having drugs and alcohol on campus.
