PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies confiscated a large amount of mushrooms and weed after a traffic stop in Putnam County, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies stopped a vehicle on State Road 207 driven by 41-year-old Lady Lake man Ronald Lamar Jones, 41, and passenger Roy Owen Blum, 60, from Okeechobee.
The sheriff's office said a K9 officer alerted deputies of potential narcotics inside the vehicle Tuesday. A search of the vehicle yielded 1,051 grams of psychedelic mushrooms, 4,619 grams of raw marijuana, THC lollipops, psilocybin-infused chocolate packages, THC Pens and $19,229.
Jones was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, selling marijuana, keeping a vehicle for drug activity, possession of a synthetic narcotics with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. On Wednesday, he was released on $18,000 bond.
Blum was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. He was released on $2,500 bond on Wednesday.
