JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A school bus was hit by a bullet in the Hogans Creek area of Jacksonville near UF Health Monday afternoon around 3:40 p.m., according to a Jacksonville sheriff's officer on the scene.
Police confirmed a witness account that two people were shooting at each other.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says the two people were engaged in a conflict at a nearby apartment complex, and a bullet hit a bus window.
There were 30 children on the bus at the time, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The driver and children were able to get off of the bus and go to a "reunification" area to reunite parents with their children.
