JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two of the four injured teens on Tuesday night's shooting in the St. Johns Town Center area on the Southside were gang members, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Tre'von Bullard and Royale D'Von Smith Jr., both 18, and Jercoby Da'Shad Groover, 19, were identified as the deceased victims in this shooting.
JSO has not identified who was involved with a gang but stated that one of the members was killed and the other is in critical condition.
One person is still in the hospital recovering from the shooting, according to JSO.
The sheriff's office said the incident happened near I-295 and Town Center Parkway near the Gate gas station. Officers say someone fired multiple shots into a car and drove away.
Several people have told First Coast News that a rapper named "Yungeen Ace" (seen below) was injured in the shooting. FCN called a cellphone number for Ace and the person who answered the call would not comment on the shooting. Some music websites have identified Ace as one of the victims.
At this time, there is no description of the suspect's vehicle. JSO is searching for possible surveillance that may have captured the shooter or shooters. If you know anything, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-tips.
