ST JOHNS, Fla. — A police chase in St. Johns County Friday afternoon ended in five suspects in custody and one person taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police and St. Johns County Fire Rescue. Police have not confirmed whether the person seriously injured is one of the suspects.
The chase was instigated by a shooting, where the victim's injuries were not life threatening, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said. The suspects fled from deputies and crashed near the intersection of State Road 206 and County Road 305.
The suspects were arrested with the help of multiple police K9s and the SJCSO aviation unit.
Police say the investigation is still active and more details will be provided at a later time.
