Man shot in back in Arlington Manor neighborhood

The shooting happened in the 3200 block of Justina Road.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is in stable condition after the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said he was shot in the back in Arlington Manor Sunday night.

Police were dispatched to the shooting in the 3200 block of Justina Road at 6:15 p.m. Once at the scene, officers found an unoccupied vehicle parked near an apartment building on Bourbon Alley West that had multiple bullet holes in it.

JSO said residents told police a gunshot victim had run south on Justina Road. First responders soon found the 22-year-old victim in the 2800 block of Justina Road with a gunshot wound to his back.

He was taken to a local hospital where he is currently in stable condition, according to JSO.

Investigators are working to develop a possible suspect or motive.
