JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A "high-school-aged" victim is in serious condition after the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said he was shot multiple times in the Riverside area Monday.
JSO said officers were called to the scene in the area of Willow Branch Avenue and Forbes Street at 2:15 p.m. Once at the scene, officers found a "high-school-aged" male with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the sheriff's office.
JSO said the suspect, a "young adult woman," was found further down the street and is in custody.
The motive behind the shooting was not disclosed but there are no outstanding suspects, JSO said.
