JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol say a Palm Coast man has died and a Jacksonville woman is hospitalized after a crash on Philips Highway Wednesday caused all southbound lanes to be closed temporarily, according to a release.
A JTA bus with three passengers on board was making a left turn onto Philips Highway northbound from Mustang Road, when two motorcyclists traveling south on the highway, collided with the left side of the bus.
No one on the bus suffered any injuries.
Both motorcyclists were taken to a local hospital where the 46-year-old man was pronounced dead and the 53-year-old woman suffered serious injuries.
FHP says charges are pending a traffic homicide investigation.
