JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—A 53-year-old Orange Park man was arrested Wednesday for traveling to Jacksonville to engage in sexual activity with a minor, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.
David Leonard Reed was booked into the Duval County Jail on a St. Johns County charge of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and is being held on $105,000 bond.
Cybercrimes detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office started investigating three weeks ago after the victim's mother found out that the man had met her daughter on a social media site and allegedly met him to have sexual activity on one occasion, the Sheriff's Office said.
A warrant was issued for his arrest on Tuesday and he was found in Jacksonville on Wednesday. Reed was arrested without incident.
