The neighbor of a woman killed in her Lackawanna-area home has been charged with murder Thursday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Darnell Eugene Johnson, 24, was initially arrested last Thursday for destroying the video system in a JSO interview room following the woman's death.

Family identified the victim as Shirley Blakely, 54. They believed Johnson was the person responsible for her death and said that “somebody killed her because they say she put a curse on them because she listened to religious music on her porch.”
Police have yet to reveal exactly how Blakely died but said that she died from multiple injuries. Blakely's family said she was shot to death.
One week after her death, police charged Johnson with murder.
Johnson is currently being held without bond and is expected to be in court on June 24 at 9 a.m.
