JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Dozens of Jacksonville residents were left cleaning up damage Sunday morning after nearly 50 parked vehicles were burglarized overnight.
Residents at the Bridgepoint apartments off Monument Road reported smashed car windows and stolen property, according to reports from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police listed 56 people affected by the incident, with most victims reporting damaged car windows.
One resident had two Amazon tablets and a gaming system stolen and another had $2,000 worth of tools stolen. Other stolen belongings included wallets with cash, credit cards and Social Security cards.
Police noted that some affected vehicles were left unlocked and suspects "entered the vehicles and ransacked them," the report states.
No vehicles were reported stolen, police said.
No suspects have been arrested.
