JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is recovering in the hospital after he was shot while inside a vehicle in the Hyde Park neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
At approximately 7:00 p.m. officers responded to the 1400 block of Manotak Avenue in reference to a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult man with a gunshot wound to the back.
After an initial investigation, police say the man was inside a vehicle in the parking lot on Manatak Avenue when he was approached by several unknown men. At least one of the men opened fire, hitting the victim once in the back.
The man was taken to the hospital in non-life-threatening condition. Investigators have not identified a suspect.
