JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is in the hospital after getting shot multiple times while driving through a busy Westside intersection Sunday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police say the victim was stopped near Normandy Boulevard when several suspects jumped out of another car and shot several times.
The victim drove through the intersection, struck a curb, and stopped in the parking lot of a CareSpot Urgent Care.
JSO reports he was taken to a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, but was in "stable" condition.
Police did not know the motive for the shooting.
Police are searching for multiple suspects, and are hoping to have descriptions of those suspects and the car they were in after interviewing witnesses.
The intersection of Normandy Boulevard and Lane Avenue was taped off for more than three hours during the investigation but has since been reopened.
