JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was shot in the torso while being "engaged" in a fight on Jacksonville's Westside Thursday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
JSO's Sergeant Scott says at around 10 p.m., officers responded to the shooting that took place in the 5300 block of Ortega Farms Boulevard. When officers arrived, Scott says they found the unidentified man suffering from a single gunshot wound.
The man was taken to a local hospital in non-life-threatening condition, police say.
Scott also says "all parties related to this incident are currently in custody and there is no danger to the community."
