JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man in his 20's was shot at an apartment complex pool in the 4200 block of Confederate Point Road on Jacksonville's Westside Friday.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says they responded to the scene at 6:30 p.m., where they found the man with a gunshot wound to the leg.
He was taken to the hospital and was in surgery as of 10 p.m. Friday night. His injuries were not life-threatening.
Police say the shooting happened during an argument between two parties at the pool. Both parties fired, according to JSO, but they are not aware of anyone else who was struck. Because the victim is in surgery, they have not been able to discern from him why the fight began.
The suspect is "outstanding" and police do not have a description of them at this time. However, witnesses from the scene are being cooperative.
