JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 44-year-old man is dead following a shooting around 11:45 p.m. Sunday in Jacksonville. Crews were called to the 1900 block of 11th Street in regards to a shooting, a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office news release states.
Marcus Floyd, 44, was located and rushed to the hospital. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, the news release states.
One resident living in the area who did not want to be identified, told First Coast News that shootings need to stop.
"It's time for a make a difference around this neighborhood, because right now we have a whole lotta older people that been right here, you know for years and years, and then being so close to home is kind of scary," the resident said.
No arrests have been made.
