JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is in life-threatening condition after he was found shot multiple times on Jacksonville's Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
At approximately 6:45 p.m. Saturday, police were alerted that a person was shot in the area of Melissa Court and Ricker Road.
Witnesses reported seeing a man "staggering" and later falling down in the area.
When officers arrived, they found a man in his mid 20s with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers administered life-saving measures to the victim until crews with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department took the man to the hospital.
He is in life-threatening condition.
Detectives with JSO's Crime Scene Unit are collecting evidence at the scene.
No suspect is in police custody.
