Two people detained after man found shot on Normandy Boulevard

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responds to a shooting from 11:30 p.m. Friday night.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has detained two people in connection to a fatal shooting on Normandy Boulevard Friday night.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the shooting in the 5300 block of Normandy Boulevard. Police said officers found an unresponsive black male lying in a nearby parking lot. Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department responded and pronounced that man deceased.

JSO homicide detectives, crime scene detectives and the State Attorney’s Office were on scene conducting the investigation.
The agency said it was working to identify the victim and talk with potential witnesses that may have information regarding this shooting. The two subjects detained will be interviewed by detectives.
