JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man was indicted Thursday by a federal grand jury and charged with failing to register as a sex offender in Florida.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Daniel Todd Manning, 42, was found guilty of indecent acts with a child. He was also charged with the possession of firearms by a convicted felon.
Following his conviction, between 2013 and 2014, Manning traveled from Missouri to Florida, where he continued to live.
Manning allegedly failed to register as a sex offender in Florida, as required by the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.
If convicted, Manning will face up to 10 years in federal prison for each offense. He has been in custody on related state charges since his arrest in April.
