Lonna Barton case gets new judge
Lonna Lauramore Barton, 25

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Circuit Judge Mark Borello is taking over the case involving Lonna Lauramore Barton, 25, mother of missing toddler Lonzie Barton, court records show.

On Friday, Chief Judge Mark Mahon reassigned the case from Circuit Judge Marianne Aho to Borello, according to a court order. Borello is the same judge who took over the case involving William "Ruben" Ebron from Aho, who recused herself for a potential conflict of interest.

Barton is in custody in Baker County on drug charges stemming from her arrest Sept. 16. She is also facing charges of child neglect and lying to police in Duval County.

Barton's son Lonzie was reported missing July 24. Since then, the investigation into his disappearance has turned into a murder investigation.
