JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to an attempted robbery at Regions Bank on Southside Boulevard around 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday.
A man walked into the bank and passed the teller a note asking for cash, officials said during a press conference. The teller told the man she could not give him any money.
The man then left in what police believe could be a black Ford Mustang.
Law enforcement described the suspect as a man about 5 feet, 11 inches tall with a medium build, long dreadlocks to his shoulders and a full beard. He was wearing a light gray sweater, a black baseball cap with the letter 'P' on it, a mask and gloves at the time of the incident, according to JSO.
There were three employees inside the bank during the attempted robbery and no customers, police said.
No one was injured. The man did not show any kind of weapon during the incident, according to law enforcement.
No money was stolen during the attempted robbery.
