JSO: Man crashes into Mid-Westside building, dies from gunshots

Around 12:02 a.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to a vehicle that crashed into a building in the 1800 block of Myrtle Avenue, where they found a man shot.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police are searching for answers after they say a man with at least one gunshot wound crashed into a Mid-Westside building early Saturday morning.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said around 12:02 a.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to a vehicle that crashed into a building in the 1800 block of Myrtle Avenue, where they found a man fatally shot.

The victim is described as a man in his 30s, JSO said. The agency does not have suspect information and is learning to know "the circumstances of the incident or the relationships of those involved," a release said.  

The shooting is classified as "pending."
