JACKSONVILLE, Fla — A man is in critical condition after a shooting Wednesday afternoon on the city's Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
JSO said the shooting happened around 4 p.m. in the 5000 block of Clarendon Street off of Cassat Avenue.
Officers were told that a man had been shot several times and two suspects had left the scene on foot.
After the shooting, the victim was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition, JSO said.
While on scene, witnesses were able to provide investigators with a description of the suspects.
At this time, multiple people have been taken into custody in connection to the shooting.
Aggravated battery detectives will handle the investigation, according to JSO.
