JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to two shootings about an hour apart early morning Sunday, that left two men with non life-threatening injuries.

At approximately 1 a.m., an officer was at the Eastside Terrace Apartments, 1212 E. First St. when a 30-year-old man approached and  "jumped out of his car and asked for help saying that he had been shot," according to JSO. Jacksonville Fire Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The sheriff's office said the victim told them that he is not from Jacksonville and is unable to give an exact location or motive.

The investigation is ongoing and JSO is working to identify the suspect.

The agency was informed of a second shooting around 1:55 a.m. A man in his 30s was shot in the hip area and the back, according to JSO. He drove himself to the hospital and is being treated for "non life-threatening injuries."

A location of the shooting was not provided by JSO, also due to the victim not being from Jacksonville, JSO said.

Anyone with information about the incidents are asked call the JSO non-emergency number 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
