JSO looking to identify suspect in San Jose area shooting

The victim was found with a gunshot wound to the torso.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who may be connected to a shooting in the San Jose area.

JSO said officers responded to a reported shooting in the 6600 block of Powers Avenue Sunday around 12:50 p.m. 

Upon arrival, they found a victim with a gunshot wound to the torso. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. 

Officers said the suspect is described as a light-skinned Black male wearing a camouflaged hoodie, black pants with a red marking on the side, and black and white sneakers.

The investigation remains active and open at this time.
