JSO: Person hurt in Downtown Jacksonville stabbing, suspect still at-large

JSO said the stabbing happened near the 700 block of North Main Street at about 7 a.m.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A stabbing in Downtown Jacksonville Saturday night sent one person to the hospital, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police responded to the 700 block of North Main Street at about 10 p.m. after reports of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they found one victim with a stab wound. First responders took the victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, JSO said.

The stabbing is believed to have started after an argument between the victim and a female. During the argument, a man stabbed the victim in the abdomen before fleeing with the female on foot, according to police.

The suspect, known only as "Boss" to the victim, is a Black male in his low to mid 30s who is about 5'9''. The suspect has a low hair cut with facial hair. He was wearing all black clothing with white tennis shoes at the time of the stabbing, JSO said.
