JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is recovering from a gunshot wound after being shot during an alleged robbery on Monday evening, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
The shooting reportedly happened at about 9:20 p.m. near the 7500 block of Arlington Expressway.
Police say they found the victim nearby at an Amoco gas station on Arlington Road. The male victim told police the suspect attempted to rob him before being shot in the leg, according to the JSO.
First responders took the victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim told police the shooter was a man with an afro and goatee, JSO said.
