The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of the daughter of a JSO officer.
The victim, Nekecheana Phillips, 27, was found dead around 1 p.m., police say.
According to court records, Phillips sought a domestic violence injunction against Eric Jackson, 27, Wednesday. A temporary injunction was granted Thursday and a hearing on the matter was set for Jan. 2.
According to JSO records, Jackson was arrested Friday night and is facing second-degree murder charges. He was admitted into jail around 11:23 p.m.
Jackson's next court appearance is Saturday at 1 p.m.
Police have not officially identified a suspect in Phillips' death.
