Man shot after argument in Jacksonville, police say

The victim, a man in his 40s, is currently in non-life-threatening condition after the Sunday morning shooting, police said.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police are searching for a suspect after a man was shot early Sunday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

At approximately 1 a.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to an area hospital about a person shot and they made contact with a man in his early 40s suffering from a gunshot. JSO said the victim is currently in non-life-threatening condition.

JSO said there was an argument in the 1400 block of E. 31st St. When the victim went to leave the area, he was shot at multiple times by an unknown individual, police said.

Detectives are processing the scene, canvassing the area for witnesses and looking for video surveillance, the agency said.
