JSO: Man hospitalized after shooting on Westside

The details leading up to the shooting are unknown at this time, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was shot in the Argyle Forest area Tuesday afternoon, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Officers responded to a local hospital around 3:45 p.m. regarding a person shot.

When officers arrived, they located a man in his late 20s suffering from a gunshot wound in his upper body.

Police said the initial investigation found the shooting happened near Interstate 295 and Collins Road.

The details leading up to the shooting are unknown at this time, police said.

JSO Crime Scene detectives are processing scene evidence and Violent Crimes detectives are speaking with the victim to learn more information.
