JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Detectives are asking for community help having exhausted all potential leads in the investigation the gunshot death from 2021, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.
Ejijah Ellis, 19, was killed in the 7900 block of Concord Circle East at Concord Park July 8, 2021. According to police, officers found Ellis located inside of a black Toyota Corolla suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Ellis was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Potential leads were obtained and available witnesses interviewed, police said.
With no new information, the case remains open, the release said. During the two-and-a-half-year investigation, evidence located at the scene has been collected and vetted by JSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene Unit, the agency said.
