Man dies in shooting on the Northside

Once at the scene, JSO said officers and first responders found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla — One person is dead after a reported shooting on the Northside Wednesday evening, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

JSO and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to the shooting in the 10800 block of Harts Road at about 4:40 p.m., police said.

Once at the scene, JSO said officers and first responders found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

JSO said the victim has not been identified and the agency does not have information about the suspect. Police said a fight appeared to have broken out between several people leading up to the deadly shooting. 

The suspect vehicle is described as a small white SUV that left the scene and fled North on Harts Road, according to JSO.
