JSO needs help identifying 2 accused of having information on 'shootings into occupied dwellings'

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office told First Coast News Thursday that the incidents are "recent" and that there have been "several" of them.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking the public for assistance in gathering information amid an ongoing investigation into "several recent incidents involving shootings into occupied dwellings," the agency told First Coast News Thursday.

The sheriff's office said detectives believe two individuals, who are pictured below, have information connected to the incidents.

JSO also said the woman in the picture appears to have tattoos on both of her hands and has "long black hair past her waist."

An incident report states the suspects called out to a victim inside by name and he did not open the door. Officers found "multiple" shell casings on the ground and bullet holes in the property, the report mentions. The shooting happened Aug. 14 at the Clearview Townhouses on Jacksonville's Southside.

First Coast News spoke with a neighbor who heard the shooting, but did not want to be identified.

"It happened right behind my apartment, like seven or eight shots," the neighbor said. "It's a playground out here. What if the children were outside? What if one of the bullets went through my apartment? It's really concerning."

Anyone with information regarding the incidents or the identity of the individuals is asked to call JSO at 904-630-0500 or email jsocrimetips@jaxsheriff.org. To remain anonymous and potentially receive a cash reward, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
