Jacksonville police arrest man in connection to 2022 stabbing on city's Westside

Husani Williams, 46, was charged with murder.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has arrested a man they say stabbed and killed a man on the Westside more than a year ago.

JSO responded to the 9300 block of 103rd Street in reference to a stabbing on Sept. 22, 2022. The victim, Alan Williams, 63, to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. He had in first appearance in court Friday.

Early in the investigation, homicide detectives identified Husani L. Williams as a person of interest. 

Detectives continued to work the investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for Williams on Tuesday. Williams were arrested and charged with murder Thursday.

Police say around 7:25 p.m., officers were dispatched in reference to an individual cut.

Upon arrival, JSO said they located a man with at least one wound to his upper body area. Police said he was rushed to a nearby hospital, but was later declared dead by the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
